Shipping policy

 

Although I can ship many of my products through UPS, some are just too big. My shipping policy is to get the order from my shop to your address as safely and inexpensively as possible. I have found that accurately estimating shipping costs are all but impossible. 

My product prices include a shipping allowance. That is the cost that should get the order from me to you. Some of the orders will cost less than the allowance. In that case, I will send a check along with the order for the difference. Some of the orders will cost more than the allowance. In that case, I won't ship the order until the difference is paid by the buyer.

Before charging additional shipping for an order I will provide a comparison of costs from more than one shipping provider. I will also provide a screenshot of the price quote from the best provider.

It is often best for me to deliver the order to you myself. This is especially true when there is some installation involved. In this case, I will charge $1.00 per mile for the round trip. That includes two days of onsite work. The first 100 miles is free.
